2019 Rosé of Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley

This wine exhibits notes of wet river rock, strawberry rhubarb, rose petal, cantaloupe, blood orange and hibiscus with a bright and refreshing finish.

This lovely Rosé of Pinot Noir comes from my favorite place in the world, my family’s vineyard in the Russian River Valley. This rosé was made exclusively from the 828 clone of Pinot Noir. This clone is perfect for rosé because it generally ripens a bit later than the other cones of Pinot, giving it great acidity. I am in love with how much this wine smells like Lone Oak terroir more than it does red or rosé wine. There is an unmistakable minerality that comes from Russian River soil that frames the aromatics of this wine.
